You're standing at the Spanjaardsgat, the water gate of Breda Castle. Look at the two sturdy towers on either side of the gate. Those are the Granaattoren and the Duiventoren, two gun towers. Together with the gate and the Hoge Brug bridge next to it, they make up one of the best-known views in Breda.
