Castle Groot Buggenum in Leudal

You're standing at Groot Buggenum Castle, also called Oud Buggenum, on the Loorderstraat just outside the village of Grathem in central Limburg. Have a look at those whitewashed walls. With its square tower and slate spire, it looks like a fairy-tale hunting lodge. Around the tower are outbuildings, some with stepped gables. Notice the small-paned windows, the many carved bluestone details and the oval shapes above the windows.
