The Valkenburg Houthem MTB trail is a mountain bike trail of just over 17 km in South Limburg, in the municipality of Valkenburg aan de Geul. The loop passes Vroenhof, Sint Gerlach, Houthem, Berg en Terblijt and Geulhem and runs through the Kloosterbosch, past the lime kiln at the entrance of the Curfs quarry, the Roman Catacombs and the Bronsdael quarry. With some 270 metres of climbing it is a hilly ride by Dutch standards. More than half is on dirt tracks, paths and unpaved sections. You follow the blue waymarks. There are sixteen benches, but we know of no drinking water or toilet on the way.
