The first stage of the LF Kustroute is a cycle route of almost 38 km from Bad Nieuweschans to Delfzijl, in the municipalities of Oldambt and Eemsdelta. You follow the Westerwoldse Aa to the Dollard and then ride through Oudezijl, Nieuwe Statenzijl, Termunten and Termunterzijl to Farmsum; along the way are the Boog van Ziel and the Oterdum memorial. It is flat and all of it is paved. We know of one toilet on the way, but no drinking water or bike pump. The full LF Kustroute follows the Dutch coast to Cadzand-Bad.
