You're standing at Asine, on a rocky headland on the coast of the Argolid, between the little village of Asine and Tolo. Locals call this rock Kastraki or Paliokastro. Take a look around. The peninsula measures roughly 330 by 150 metres and rises 52 metres above the sea. Right next to it is a natural, sheltered harbour. You could hardly ask for a better spot to build a town.
