Memorial Marsalkka Mannerheimin ratsastajapatsas in Helsinki

You're standing on Mannerheiminaukio, a square along Mannerheimintie in the heart of Helsinki. Right in front of you, Field Marshal Carl Gustaf Mannerheim rides in bronze. He was Finland's famous military leader and later became its president. Start with the granite plinth. On its own it's more than six metres tall. On top of that, horse and rider add another five point four metres. All in all, the statue rises almost twelve metres above you.
