Munchmuseet in Oslo

You're standing at MUNCH, the museum dedicated to the Norwegian artist Edvard Munch, on the waterfront in Oslo's Bjørvika district. Take a look up. The building is 58 metres tall and has 13 floors. The outside is clad in translucent, perforated aluminium. It was designed by the Spanish architect Juan Herreros and his studio, estudio Herreros, who won the design competition in 2009. Right next door, across the mouth of the Akerselva river, is the Opera House.
