You're standing on Rådhusplassen in Oslo, the square by City Hall, and in front of you is the Nobel Peace Center. Take a good look at the building first. It doesn't really look like a modern museum, and there's a reason for that: this used to be a railway station. It's Oslo's old West Station, Oslo Vestbanestasjon, dating from 1872 and designed by architect Georg Andreas Bull. Trains kept leaving from here until 1989. After that the station closed, and in 2005 the building got a whole new life.
