Monument to the victims of MS Scandinavian Star Disaster 1990 in Oslo

You're standing at the memorial to the victims of the Scandinavian Star, right by Akershus Fortress in Oslo. Start with the sculpture. A mother carries her baby and leads another child by the hand. That little boy is reaching back for the teddy bear he has dropped. It's a small gesture, but it says a lot about what's being remembered here. The memorial was unveiled on 7 April 2006, exactly sixteen years after the disaster.
