You're standing at the Ethnography Museum of Ankara, a museum devoted to the cultures of the Turkic peoples. Take a moment to look at the building itself. It was designed by architect Arif Hikmet Koyunoğlu and built between 1925 and 1928. That's right after the Turkish Republic was founded, in the years when Ankara was becoming the new capital.
