You're standing at the Casa da Música, Porto's concert hall. First, take a good look at its shape. This is no tidy box. It's a lopsided, angular block of white concrete, nine floors high, cut open here and there by huge windows, some flat, some rippling. It sits all on its own in a wide plaza of yellowish-brown marble, set well back from the streets. Many people say it looks like the hull of a ship left stranded on the beach at low tide. Can you see it?
