You're standing at NOESIS, the Thessaloniki Science Center and Technology Museum, out in Thermi on the edge of the city. Start by taking a good look at the buildings, because they tell a story of their own. The long main building is meant to be a lever, and the big sphere next to it is the Earth. Together they nod to Archimedes, the Greek mathematician who claimed that with a lever he could lift the world. That sphere holds the planetarium.
