You're standing at the Zagreb Funicular, on Tomić Street. This tiny railway links Ilica, the busy shopping street of the Lower Town, with the Strossmayer promenade up in the Upper Town. Look up along the rails. The whole line is just sixty-six metres long, which makes it one of the shortest public transport funiculars in the world. It's also one of the steepest, with a gradient of fifty-two percent.
