You're standing on the hill of Bacoli, at the western end of the Gulf of Naples. You might not spot much at first, because most of what you've come to see lies right under your feet. This is the Piscina Mirabilis, one of the biggest water reservoirs the Romans ever built. Only the Basilica Cistern in Istanbul is larger.
