You're standing at the ruins of Yoros Castle, high on a hill on the Asian side of the Bosphorus, right where the strait meets the Black Sea. Take a look around. The water is remarkably narrow here. On the far shore is Rumeli Kavağı, which once had a fortress much like this one. And since 2016 you can spot the Third Bosphorus Bridge in the distance.
