Archaeological site Myus in Söke

You're standing at Myus, or what's left of it, just north of the little village of Avşar near Söke. Have a look around. Flat farmland everywhere, with mountains in the distance. Hard to believe, but this was once the sea. Myus was a Greek harbour town on a narrow peninsula that reached out from Mount Latmus into the water, close to the mouth of the Maeander River.
