You're standing at Den Bramel, a country house and former small castle in the hamlet of Veldwijk, between Vorden and Almen. A certain Gerrit den Bramel is already mentioned here in 1396. Little remains of that early house. What you see today mostly dates from 1720 to 1726, when older walls were rebuilt.
