Kasteel Huis Bergh in Montferland

You're standing at Huis Bergh in 's-Heerenberg, the largest moated castle in the Netherlands. This was the ancestral seat of the Counts Van den Bergh. Look at the walls rising straight out of the moat. The building history goes back to around 1250, and parts of the house date from the fourteenth, fifteenth and seventeenth centuries.
