You're standing at the Musée des Beaux-Arts of Nice, on the avenue des Baumettes. It also carries the name of Jules Chéret. Take a good look at the building. It didn't start life as a museum at all, but as an elegant private mansion. It was built in the 1870s for a Russian princess, Elizaveta Vasilievna Kochubey. You may also hear it called the Villa Thomson.
