Puits de Moïse in Dijon

You're standing on the grounds of the former Chartreuse de Champmol, just outside the old centre of Dijon. This is home to one of the great masterpieces of late medieval sculpture: the Well of Moses by Claus Sluter. Take a look at the pavilion sheltering it. That little building was only added in the seventeenth century, when the weather had already started eating away at the top of the work.
