You're standing at the Stockholm City Museum, housed in Södra Stadshuset at Slussen, right on the edge of Södermalm. Take a good look at the building itself. This is no modern museum block. It was completed back in 1685, so these walls are more than three centuries old. The museum only moved in during the 1930s, and it opened to the public in 1942.
