You're standing at the Swedish History Museum in Stockholm, the national museum of Swedish archaeology and history. Take a look at the building. Four blocks of two and three storeys stand around an inner courtyard, behind a plain, austere façade. It looks almost like a fortress. Architects Bengt Romare and George Scherman designed it, and it was built between 1934 and 1939, partly with money the government set aside to create jobs during the Depression.
