Et'hem Bey Mosque in Tirana Municipality

You're standing at the Et'hem Bey Mosque, on Skanderbeg Square in the centre of Tirana. Together with the Clock Tower of Tirana it forms one complex. It's one of the oldest buildings in the city. Start with the minaret. It's many-sided and stands on a square base, a shape you rarely see in Islamic architecture. Plant motifs are carved into the stone.
