Kasteel Eerde in Ommen

You're standing in Eerde, a hamlet near Ommen, on the north side of the river Regge. Only a handful of people live here, about sixty in 2015. The heart of Eerde is its castle, a country house in Dutch classical style from 1715, set in a large Baroque estate. Since 1965 the estate has been managed by the nature conservation organisation Natuurmonumenten.
