You're standing at the Fondation Beyeler in Riehen, just outside Basel. At first glance it doesn't look much like a museum. It's more of a long, low pavilion tucked into the greenery. That's exactly the idea. Italian architect Renzo Piano set the building right inside Berower Park, an English landscape garden. Ernst Beyeler didn't want an ordinary museum either. He pictured it as a little power plant, a place where visitors could recharge.
