You're standing at Museum EICAS on the Nieuwe Markt in Deventer. First, take a look at the building. This used to be the Alexander Hegius Gymnasium, a grammar school designed by architect Wim Knuttel. Where pupils once studied Latin, there's now art on the walls. Then look up at the roof. It's made of enamelled glass panels by the Chinese artist Lu Xinjian, in a work called DNA of Deventer.
