You're standing at Peckforton Castle, tucked away in the woods at the northern end of the Peckforton Hills. It looks like a medieval fortress, but don't be fooled. This castle went up between 1844 and 1850, as a family home for John Tollemache, at the time the biggest landowner in Cheshire.
