You're standing at the National Museum in Warsaw, one of the largest museums in Poland. The building in front of you sits on Jerusalem Avenue. It's a modernist design by architect Tadeusz Tolwiński, built between 1927 and 1938, and it was officially opened on 18 June 1938. It stands on the edge of a park laid out in the eighteenth century for Prince Kazimierz Poniatowski.
