You're standing at Woolsthorpe Manor, a farmhouse on the edge of a small Lincolnshire village, with mostly fields all around. It looks modest, but this is where one of the most famous scientists of all time was born: Isaac Newton. He arrived on Christmas Day 1642. He never knew his father, who had died three months earlier.
