You're standing at the Armémuseum, the Swedish Army Museum, right in the elegant Östermalm district of Stockholm. Have a look around. This site is called Artillerigården, and the name gives the game away. The army has used this spot since the middle of the seventeenth century. For nearly three hundred years, the main depot of the Swedish artillery was based right here. The buildings you see today went up in the second half of the eighteenth century.
