You're standing on the Plaza de España, one of the best-known squares in Seville. Take a look around. The square is a huge half circle, about 170 metres across, wrapped in a single long building full of towers, arches and brick. Architect Aníbal González designed it for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. He blended Art Deco with Renaissance, Baroque and Moorish styles. The result feels like a palace giving the whole square a hug.
