You're standing at the Nijenhuis, a manor house between Wijhe and Heino, in the Salland region. In this province, a house like this is called a havezate, a noble country seat typical of Overijssel. First, look at the square in front of the castle. It's flanked on two sides by outbuildings, like a guard of honour. Then look at the house itself, with its two large residential towers. Those were only added in 1870, by the owner at the time, Van Knobelsdorff.
