Story · Basilika Sankt Martin

You're standing at St. Martin's Church in Landshut. Look up, and take your time, because that tower just keeps going. It's 130.6 metres tall, the tallest church tower in Bavaria and the tallest brick church tower in the world. The Church of Our Lady in Bruges, no small building itself, comes up more than eight metres short. And it was built without any steel supports, just brick and mortar.
