Loch Leven Castle in Perth and Kinross

You're standing at Lochleven Castle, on an island in the middle of Loch Leven. Take a look around. Today the island is green and wooded, but it used to be only a quarter of this size, and the castle filled almost all of it. The water only dropped in the nineteenth century, when the river flowing out of the loch was canalised.
