You're standing at St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, the Thomaskirche. This is where Johann Sebastian Bach was Thomaskantor, the director of music, from 1723 until his death in 1750. First, take a look at the roof. It's unusually steep, with a pitch of 63 degrees. The tower is 68 metres tall, and the church itself is 76 metres long. At heart it's a late-Gothic hall church, consecrated on the 10th of April 1496.
