Archaeological site Sestos in Eceabat

You're standing at Sestos, an ancient Greek harbour town on the European shore of the Hellespont, close to the Turkish town of Eceabat. First, look out across the water. On the far side, on the Asian shore, stood Abydos, Sestos' long-time twin. This was where you crossed from Europe to Asia, and for centuries that shaped everything about this town.
