You're standing at the Château d'Ussé, on the Indre, a tributary of the Loire. Behind it, the Chinon forest begins. Take a look at all those little towers and pointed roofs climbing the slope. Does it feel familiar? It should. Charles Perrault was often a guest here, and he had this castle in mind when he wrote The Sleeping Beauty. Ussé was also one of the castles that inspired Walt Disney when he created his fairy-tale castles.
