Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes

You're standing at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, at the top of La Croisette, just east of the harbour in Cannes. Take a look at that wide staircase. Twenty-four steps, and quite possibly the most famous steps in the film world. Every year during the Cannes Film Festival, this is where the red carpet goes down. The whole Croisette closes to traffic, and limousines drop the stars off right at the bottom of the stairs.
