Abbatiale de Lérins in Cannes

You're standing on the island of Saint-Honorat, one of the Lérins Islands off the coast of Cannes. In front of you is Lérins Abbey. Monks still live here, Cistercians, and they've been here since 1869. Take a look at the vineyards around you. The monks grow grapes and turn them into wine and liqueur. They grow their own vegetables too. And see those solar panels? That's where most of their electricity comes from these days.
