You're standing on Stary Rynek, the Old Market Square of Poznań, right in front of the town hall. Start with the front. Three storeys of open arcades, stacked on top of each other. That loggia was added between 1550 and 1560. After a major fire, the Italian architect Giovanni Battista di Quadro turned the medieval town hall into one of the finest Renaissance buildings in Central Europe.
