You're standing at the Alcázar of Toledo, the great stone fortress on the highest point of the city. Look at its shape: a square block about sixty metres on each side, with four big towers at the corners, each topped with a pointed spire. The name comes from the Arabic al-qasr, meaning the castle, which in turn goes back to the Latin castrum.
