You're standing on Platía Platanou, the Square of the Plane Tree, right in the centre of Kos town. Start with that huge tree in front of you. This is the Tree of Hippocrates, an oriental plane with a crown about twelve metres across. It's said to be the largest plane tree crown in Europe.
