You're standing at the Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley, in the southeast of Andorra. This is a glacial valley, and the landscape shows it: high pastures, craggy cliffs and steep wooded slopes. The valley covers about nine percent of all of Andorra, and it's been called the spiritual heart of the country.
