You're standing at the Casa de la Vall in Andorra la Vella. It looks like a sturdy stone manor house, and that's exactly what it was. The Busquets family built it in 1580, as a home and a defensive tower in one. Just look at those solid walls and that simple rectangular shape. More than four centuries on, it's still one of the most important buildings in the country.
