You're standing at Arenberg Castle in Heverlee, just outside the centre of Leuven. Start with the façade. Red brick walls with sandstone window frames. That's classic Flemish style. But look closely and you'll also spot bits of Gothic, Renaissance and neo-Gothic, because the castle kept being reworked over the centuries. Now look up at the two big corner towers with their pear-shaped spires. A German eagle once perched on top of them. Can you still spot one?
