You're standing at the Cathedral of St Louis in Plovdiv. It's one of the largest and most important Roman Catholic churches in Bulgaria. Together with the Cathedral of St Joseph in Sofia, it serves as the main church of the Diocese of Sofia and Plovdiv. And the name? It comes from a French king, Louis the Ninth, better known as Saint Louis.
