You're standing at Burg Lockenhaus, on the spur of a hill in the Güns Valley, right by the Hungarian border. Take a look at the round towers in the outer walls. This is the oldest fortress in Burgenland. It went up around 1200, in Romanesque and Gothic style, built from stone found nearby. Its Hungarian name, Léka, still echoes the old name Leuca. Now turn to the east. There's a lake, right next to the castle.
