Burg Rheinstein in Trechtingshausen

You're standing at Rheinstein Castle, perched on the rocks high above the Rhine near Trechtingshausen. Take a look up. It looks like something out of a fairy tale, and in a way it is. Most of what you see is nineteenth-century romanticism, built on genuine medieval remains. Since 2002 it has been part of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site.
