You're standing at Mes Bridge, or Ura e Mesit in Albanian. The name literally means 'the bridge in the middle'. You're in the little village of Mes, about five kilometres northeast of Shkodër, with the Kir River flowing below. Take a close look at the stonework. The bridge is built from round, smooth river stones and flat stone slabs. That rough, handmade quality is exactly what draws visitors from all over the world.
