You're standing at Shkodër Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Stephen, the city's first patron saint. Locals simply call it Kisha e Madhe, the Grand Church. And grand it is: seventy-four metres long, fifty wide and over twenty-three metres tall. When it was built, it was one of the biggest Catholic cathedrals in the Balkans.
